Founded by Eleni and her Mumma, the journey began in the beautiful, sunny expanses of Far North Queensland and the Sunshine Coast. Working as a Nurse, Eleni spent her days devoted to healing others, while her Mumma, a retired teacher, inspired creativity and care. Both of them share a love for the ocean, fishing, camping, and all outdoor adventures. Yet, they noticed something was missing.
So, they decided to take matters into their own hands.
Starting with a real frustration
During their time enjoying the sun, they faced a common frustration: the lack of fashionable, functional, and feminine outdoor wear designed specifically for women. Too often, the market offered only the uninspiring, masculine styles that lacked the flair and practicality women wanted. The lightbulb moment came when they realized this was not just a problem for them, but for all women who wanted to feel significant and empowered during their adventures.
Built by the people who wear it
That's the part that makes Tusk & Trout different. It isn't a big brand adding a women's range because the data said to. It's two women who fish, boat, and spend their weekends outdoors, building the gear they actually wanted to wear, then sharing it with every other woman who's felt the same gap.

"What would women change about their adventure wear?"
Eleni and her Mumma set out to create apparel that not only provided UV protection but also merged current fashion trends with comfort. They listened to the needs of women and carried their passion in every detail of their original designs.

Dusty Pink and Wild Coco are our very first colorways' and continue to perform as our best sellers because they offer premium style as well as practical comfort, inspiring us to create an entire earth range featuring gorgeous Aussie hues.
Where it's headed
What started as one shirt has grown into a full range of shirts, jerseys, T-Shirts, swimwear, caps, hats and accessories. We're just getting started, and we're building this alongside a growing community of women who fish, dive, camp, and adventure right across Australia.
